We are currently a single vehicle family & as such any errands/appt that need to occur are stock piled into one maybe two days per week & as this pregnancy get further along this is EXHAUSTING for pregnant mama & I can only imagine what it's like for two little ladies that are being pulled in & out of stores/offices & car seats.
Our day started off today earlier than normal. The youngest was rudely awoken by mama turning her light on & picking out her outfit for the day as we had to be out of the house early. Luckily for me she woke up happy thank goodness for an early bed time routine! Then it was pile everyone into the vehicle & drive across town to the DMV - When we moved to this state they didn't accept our previous drivers license so we had to get all our paper work together in order to write the test then wait & do the in car portion of the drivers exam. This is stressful when you've been a licensed driver for 15+ years. But luckily I passed with no problems, that's twice now I've been lucky enough to not have to parallel park because that would not have gone well. Appt #1 for the day done. Then it's off to drive hubby to work to keep on with our day.
Appt #2 is physical therapy for pregnant mama due to misc. pains this baby is causing me. Thankfully the girls were able to go to a girlfriends house & I got to attend this appt without any distractions. In between dropping the girls off & going to my appt I had to drop off something at the tailors for alterations.
Back to my girlfriends to get the girls & ENJOY lunch.. THANK YOU because otherwise lunch would have been fast food & that would not do well when I later in the day need to step on the scale for the Dr's appt.
Then after lunch & a QUICK visit its back on the road we go. We went shopping at two stores (but of course not at the same spot) & the youngest fell asleep & we didn't have the stroller. So here I am 8 months pregnant carrying this pre-schooler who is CRASHED... into a store buying new pj's for the girls for their first night in their new princess room (FRIDAY is the big reveal) then back to the truck & off to store #2, where just last week I had purchased the girls cute little fall shirts however after one wash they were coming apart! Not a HAPPY mama. But with no questions asked they returned them & the girls got 2 different shirts. Luckily by this point the little one woke up & I wasn't carrying her around anymore YAHOO
Then it's off to appt #3.. prenatal exam..quick in & out & all is good back in 2 more weeks!
Then groceries, unfortunately they don't put themselves in our house, so it's off to the grocery store we go.. It's now 4p.m we've been out of the house since 750a.m & we are all TIRED!! I can barely walk but there is NO food to be had.. so we push through the grocery store getting what has to be picked up.. The girls are troopers !! Only the refrigerator stuff got out of the vehicle once home the rest can wait till we pick up hubby later tonight & he can carry stuff in!
To think it took me all day to do stuff that before kids & pregnancy would have been done in half a day! And what I didn't mention is the "mommy I have to pee" "mommy I need a snack" "mommy she's looking at me" comments that take extra time out of an all ready packed day.
I'm impressed I (WE) got everything on our list that needed to be done leaving home so early & having so much to do.. Lets just hope I don't realize tonight I forgot something important, because we don't have the truck for a few days now!
Dinner is required (that doesn't just show up either) some days I wish that a grocery / dinner fairy would stop by my house!
