It's been 3 weeks now that I've been a Working mommy. I work 4 days a week with Wednesdays off. My first Wednesday I had my sister just arrive in town so the day was spent with her & the kids. My 2nd Wednesday was cloth diaper day, swimming & other laundry day & the installation of our new cable, wireless Internet which meant our phone was disconnected ALL day! Today was my 3rd day off & I really had hopes to do something FUN with the kids. Well not so much. Where does the time go. I spent time in the morning putting away weekend laundry, then off to get my kindergartner then swimming. We got home had lunch & it was 130 all ready. I then spent about 1.5 hours on the phone with the computer / wireless Internet people trying to set up a 2nd computer to our wireless system with NO luck. Then it was off to tumbling, home dinner & bed. Another day is almost over. At least I can now record my shows so that when I fall asleep before the ending I'm not bugging hubby about "how'd it end? What happened to..." The joys of a busy Career mommy!

Joys of Motherhood
Before dinner tonight I decided the two youngest ones needed a bath. So I took the baby into her room took off her diaper & brought the naked baby into the bathroom. I put her on the floor while I put water in the tub. The baby is now pulling up on EVERYTHING.. so I'm sitting there on the stool & she stood up! My leg all of a sudden got a little wet. I look down at baby & she's smiling from ear to ear & just peed all over mama! Ahh the joy of motherhood.. Oh did I mention the Murphy law behind this event. This week was the week when I pulled all the bath mats in the house & ran them through the laundry did I mention they girls bath mat was just put back in there yesterday. Oh what Fun

Work
I received a job offer yesterday. I can't believe I'm going back to work. Part of me can't wait to go to work (earn money) but another part of me is really sad that I'm going to be leaving my girls. Lucky for me my mom is going to come & visit to help with the transition so that will be good.
The job is as a Quality Control for A Home Health Care Agency. I will be responsible for training, policy/procedure writing & making sure the nurses are always trained on the newest techniques & equipment coming into the community. It will be fun! So sometime in September I will no longer be a full time stay at home mom!

Being a Women
If you don't want to read about womanly problems.. stop now!
So 9 months ago I had a baby, so for 10 months prior to that I didn't have a period & then after the labour / bleeding stopped I haven't had a period in 9 months so that's a total of 19 months. As you can only imagine the first period after that long would be a NASTY one! Generally I function very well & the monthly never got me down & out but OUCH.. this one had me in bed as soon as I tucked the little beauties into bed last night! But today is a new day & things are a LOT better. Back to reality!

Tonights the Start
As many of you know our first daughter is starting school this year, which for us Means the first day of school is August 11, 2008. Tonight we have Adult only Meet the teacher night. Tomorrow night is Ice Cream social (not sure what this is but we get to bring the kids).
So Hubby & I are both a little nervous, excited & scared. Our baby girl will be out of our hands for 1/2 days 5 days a week. This last 18 months we've been really lucky & she's been at home with me. Some days I'm sure it would have been better if she were at pre school but for the most part it was Fun!
We are very confident that she will do great. She has demonstrated a lot of maturity over the last year & knows what her rules/boundaries are & sticks to them even if she doesn't like them. But I am sure there will be a challenge or two once she see / hears what all her "friends" are allowed to do!
My life as a Mom is moving into the next phase & I'm not sure I'm ready but here we go!!!!

It's Monday...
Wow what a long busy weekend we had around here!
Friday was a crazy day. My friend finally got the keys to her house which is 1 year late being finished (reason we will never build a new house). So we found out we are watching her 3 & 1 year old Sat. I also go word that I was needed to work at the NASCAR qualifying day as a fundraiser for the girls cheer. I had agreed to be an alternate a while back if someone cancelled! As always on Friday afternoon we had some friends over for a swim & there was a HUGE frog in the pool needing to be tossed out & 4 screaming girls watching this happen! Friday night once hubby arrived home was organizing for the garage sale we decided we were having & doing yard work.
Sat saw me getting up at 4AM to feed the baby shower & get out of the house to go to the track for 6 a.m ! Before I left we had to get all the tables outside for the garage sale! Hubby then accepted the challenge of 2 extra kids all day alone with our 3 + a garage sale.. Boy my hubby is good & did I mention he had them all down napping (all 5 kids) mid day. My eldest rarely nap & he had them all down at the same time & was able to go sit pool side & have a beer. I guess I should have left superman some laundry to do! I got home after 7 pm & we had dinner, did family movie night & then is was BED TIME for tired mama! ** this was the first day I had ever left the baby!!
Sunday was not a day of rest. We got up & did our usual pancake breakfast but that's where everything normal about Sunday ended. I was then busy getting the girls lunch ready & making sure everything was written out for our FIRST EVER PAID BABYSITTER that was not a close friend or family member. Yes we left all three girls for the first time ever. The big girls could not wait for us to leave & well the baby she was napping! Hubby & I were lucky enough to join great friends at the Brickyard 400 - NASCAR Race! It was AMAZING.. I've been a Nascar fan for years (much more than hubby) & this was my first ever RACE. I was perma smile all day. It was great - THANK YOU!! I called home about 5 times in 7 hours (not bad) The babysitter did a great job & the girls were happy. That's all I could have asked for. The baby was alittle cranky when I finally got home from driving the sitter home but she had not really seen me in two days. I was driving home to make dinner only to get a call from hubby that the power was out. So I had to stop & get take out for dinner .. ahh more money spent. But when the power goes out at our place we can't ever run the water to wash lettuce or fruit or anything like that due to being on well water.
We survived the weekend & TODAY was back to reality a little tired alittle slow but all was well! Can't wait for next years race. I hope I can go again!!

Laundry
My laundry detergent ROCKS!!! This weekend was the big princess party. Our little 3year old wanted to wear a BEAUTIFUL WHITE dress she wore in her uncles wedding as a flower girl. Some of you may be thinking White dress & outside party, snow cones, cakes are you getting a picture of BLACK DRESS! So the dress by the end of the day was Black & DIRTY!
I sprayed it with the amazing eco-friendly, none hazardous/non toxic laundry spot remover then washed it with the same safe liquid laundry soap & VOILA brand new dress. Now if only it could have repaired the ripped off piece of "lace" the dress would be perfect! (did I mention no BLEACH was used)
If you aren't getting these same results from you currently laundry products you NEED to contact me. I am so AMAZED.. Oh & did I mention this was washed on delicate / cold water!

Little DIVA
Okay today I think is a day all about our soon to be 5 year old. This a.m atrip to the Library & afterward we made an impromptu stop at a park. It was a little windy & I didn't have my hair tied back. So jokingly I asked the eldest if she had a hair tie in her PURSE.. & well let me tell you after dumping A LOT of stuff out she handed me a hair tie & a small brush. WOW .. I don't know where she gets that from obviously I'm not that organized in my purse or else I would not have had to ask her!

Motherhood of 3
Well it's been a week now that I've had 3 little ladies. It's been busy. I had the baby last Friday a.m & was home 36 hours later because my eldest had an activity that I just could not miss. We started last Sunday running & haven't stopped. Monday was out to a photo studio to get a picture done for hubby's birthday of his girls! When we gave hubby his bday card (a day late) with the pictures in it, he had a tear in his eye! We also needed a few groceries so to the store we went! Tuesday found us running to the hospital for the baby to have repeat blood work & then to her doctor to see how her jaundice was coming. The eldest also had a medical appointment that day so there we were off & running more! Wednesday we stayed home & did 6 loads of laundry none of which were the babies. Thursday went to the mall for a walk kinda a slow day. Friday end of week one, found us shopping at Costco & then home for an afternoon play date with a friend! This was great the girls were SOOO happy to see their friends & I enjoyed sitting having TEA with my girl friend. Thankfully "Grandma" has been here to help out with meals & watching the older two so I can get a little sleep in the a.m. The baby has not yet learned the rules to cluster feed during the day & not in the middle of the night. Hopefully week two will have her learning more of the rules.
So all in all week one with three really didn't slow me down a bit. We'll have to see how week 2 goes. Hopefully as well!

YAHOO for ME!!
During my pregnancy I gained 27 pounds. You always hope that all weight gain will be gone the moment you deliver your bundle of joy but that's not very realistic. And after giving birth I am usually ready to be done with my maternity clothing. So yesterday when I had the baby into the doctor to have her jaundice checked out I was able to step on the scales where I'd been weight for months & new my exact weight. I was SHOCKED/SURPRISED & very happy to see that I only have 12 pounds left to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Even though baby was just under 7pounds I lost 15 in the first 4 days. I'm sure it will be a many weeks/months before the post comes that I've lost all my weight but I'm very excited about the kick start I have!

I DID IT
EDIT PICTURES ARE IN NOW!!
Below are some of the pictures of clothing that my little miss got ! The first picture is a tag blanket custom made for her with her name in the centre. I also am very excited about getting a hamper for the nursery thus the picture...
I did it.. I made it to a baby shower without baby in arms (newborn that is) & without it having to be rescheduled or sending exhausted hubby solo.
YAHOOOOOOO!! Now this baby can make her appearance. I think this is the most prepared we've ever been for a baby. Guess Practise does make perfect (except she doesn't have a crib to sleep in yet.. but hubby assure me that he'll find the missing pieces soon)
My shower was WONDERFUL.. Hubby had the house inside / out looking beautiful! I actually sat back & let the individual hosting my shower take over my home & decorate & move what ever she wanted to make the party work for her. It was great to sit back & let someone else do the work. I thankfully had a little cute distraction - her 12 week old baby, she kept me busy!
Being new to this town & my 3rd baby it was surprising how many people actually came. It was a GREAT afternoon. There were no silly baby shower games, no ribbon/bow hats.. Just lots of food (most of which I couldn't eat Gestational Diabetes diet & all) & Great conversation. Oh & did I mention LOTS of great gifts for baby & even a few for me.
To start the gift opening off a delivery truck with a dozen long stem pink roses showed up... initially everyone thought this was from hubby who was long gone onto the golf course however when I opened up the card it was from a GREAT GIRL FRIEND out of town. She had wanted them to arrive in the am to be there for when the party started but this was just wonderful the way they did arrive. How thoughtful is she! Then the gift opening started.
Little miss got great sleepers, cute little outfits, baby wash/lotions, diapers, wipes, receiving blankets, warm cozy blankets, crib sheets, change pad cover, hamper, garbage can, baby monitor with two receivers, picture frames, photo album, rattle, pacifiers, face clothes, robe & slippers & hooded towel everything mostly pink.
Half way through the gift opening the person passing me the presents changed her position to be in front of me & grabbed her camera as soon as she handed me a gift. I opened the card to find out this was from my Girlfriend who had just send the roses. It had a gifts wrapped for each of the 3 misses, box of thank you cards in brown / pink & then a gift certificate for a pedicure at the spa.. YAHOO... you know I'll be getting my pedicure done before this baby is due .. because everyone is looking at your toes during labour..LOL.. It's great to have a such a thoughtful friend even if she's in a different country. It was almost like she was right there with me!
Mama got a new hand made diaper bag, new tea mug, fluffy cozy socks & candle.
Even the two big sisters got a few gifts.. It was a GREAT day.. I just wish I could say the same about Hubby's golf game.. that was not soo good.. I guess that's what happens when you only get out 3-4 times a year.. Maybe next year he'll get a chance to play more.. Hard to imagine with 3 little ladies & this yard but one can hope!

Zero - 60
I guess pushing little girls to go go go all day is bound to come back & hit you hard at some point. Last night after having a great day with the girls being so good in/out of car seats/appts & stores, just as we left to go get hubby from work the CROCODILE TEARS hit & I think they had been stock piled since birth the crying/tears & screams lasts the entire 25 minutes it took to drive to hubby's work!
It all started because the girls were watching a show when hubby said he was ready for pick up so we turned off the show & the youngest got REALLY upset. She was promptly carried to the truck, shoe obtained by the eldest for her & strapped into car seats. She kept saying she wanted out of the truck. So in the dark & pouring rain I offered to let her out on the road & this sent the other lovely daughter into panic. She didn't ever want her sister to go away "who would she play with" .... So when we got to hubby's work I took "the baby" out of her carseat as per her request, placed her on the wet pavement (in her sock feet) gave her shoes in hand & her baby, closed her door to the truck & sat back in the drivers seat (never closing my door) & she cried even harder & soon it wasn't soo bad to be in the truck & she wanted back in her seat. The cooperation started from then all the way home & she fell asleep on the drive home. It was hard to tell if she was sleeping or not because she had that post cry breathing going on.
The joys of motherhood!!!
