I don't know that even after three babies I'll ever get used to being thrown up on! I am not talking about that little spit up that babies do all day every day on their mama but the thick, chuncky stuff that STINKS like BARF!!! Today I was moving the 3 month old to get up & put her down for her nap when BAM... she tossed the entire content of her recent nursing season into my hair & shirt. It wasn't just the milk that had just gone in but mixed with old milk thick & chunky.. YUK... needless to say I was out of my shirt & under the tap washing my hair in 5 minutes or less. AHHH... It can only get better. At least she is sleeping 12-13 hours straight at night!!

Kids
Just when the baby is on her way to being better, big sister now presents with aches/pains & a SORE belly! And I thought I would have a good weekend with HEALTHER kids.. doesn't look like it now. This too will pass hopefully a lot cheaper than the baby's illness.

Sick Baby Part 2
Our 2 month old baby girl had to be admitted to the local hospital for 24 hours of observation, IV fluids & oxygen. Poor baby was diagnosed with pneumonia RSV & an ear infection! Did I mention hubby was out of the country on Tuesday not expected to return until Friday. So that meant he had to get his a flight back home! We were admitted to the hospital from our doctors office around 1pm Hubby arrived at the hospital @ 8pm. That meant the girls were locked in a room with me & sick baby all day. Luckily one of hubby's employees was kind enough to come up and take the girls to the cafeteria to get a bite to eat. Baby is doing a little better. This illness has kicked her in the butt & she is very TIRED & having trouble eating! So we are at home to try & get her to keep eating!

Sick Baby
Has your baby ever had to have a CHEST xray. Let me tell you it's not fun. So most times if you are heading for a Chest xray on the average baby.. they are sick. So picture this sick, unwell baby, coughing with these really rosy cheeks from high fevers. All ready unhappy. Then introduce the xray apparatus. Baby sits on this bicycle like seat then must have their arms pinned straight up in the air & face into the xray plate. Then same position required but now sitting sideways. Oh the joys. And the tech. wants the baby crying gives them a better view of the lung fields. No worries about them stopping the crying. Then leave them undressed (another reason to cry) until the tech check the film. This lucky xray tech had two toddlers helping him. Thankfully he was very kind & patient with the ladies. And lucky for me we only had to do it once (today). No pneumonia. But still a sick little baby!

Happy New Year
Happy New Years & Best wishes in 2008!
Lets hope the rest of the year goes better at our house than 2007 ended & 2008 began. The last day of 2007 found us sitting around with a sick 4 year old tossing her cookies all over the place. What fun.. Thank goodness we had no plans for New years Eve. Hubby & I had a quiet dinner (sorta) between baby & big girl crying and watched a movie. We had all little people in bed for midnight.
New years day found us waking up to "mommy" having the belly bug. So hubby was parent in charge all day. What a MAN!! He took care of the kids, took down all the holiday decorations & even took the kids outside for a play. Allowing me to stay in bed all day! My hubby is the BEST!!!! And he cooked two warm meals and did a couple loads of laundry. Did I mention he cleaned the house too. Yes he has a brother but he's married too.
HAPPY NEW YEAR..

The fun Starts TODAY
While most people are gearing up for New Years Eve Festivities I'm just hoping to survive the first day alone. I had my baby 7 weeks ago & I was very lucky to have my mom here for the last 7 weeks. She helped out with EVERYTHING, cooking, cleaning, shopping & playing with the big sisters. But reality had to set in at some point. My mom & holiday visitors (sister & hubby) left on the weekend. So Sunday was our first full day with just our family since before the baby came. We had a wonderful lazy day. But today hubby is back at work & I'm trying to get a handle on all the laundry & housework. OH and did I mention the eldest has a stomach bug & is tossing her cookies all over the place. The fun begins today!! The baby has what I believe is Colic so that's a lot of fun too. The middle sister is again feeling left out because she's not sick or the baby.. The poor middle child syndrome. I'm just hoping nobody else gets sick in our house. Luckily for me we were planning a quiet night in & hubby is home all day tomorrow. Lets hope 2008 starts off better than 2007 is ending. HAPPY NEW YEAR to Everyone!

ahh quiet

Well the little one finally decided to take a nap.. it was great we all had a two hour nap .. no she's not that tiny (anymore) but it's hard to get a picture of her napping when I was right there in the middle of the napping beauties.
Unfortunately she only last 20 minutes & the crying/complaining is back... but we did have a great sleep!
