potty training fun

The baby has decided she's ready to be a big girl and wear panties. We are very excited around here about this. The big girls have been cheering her on when using the toilet.

My only complaint is the loud screams at 1 a.m the other night as the baby is running up & down the hall (non carpet) crying cuz she has to peeeeee. She went to bed with a diaper on (I'm not ready for night time training yet) but apparently she is. Once I woke up & figured out what was going on we went to their bathroom she did her business and back to bed without waking everyone else up. I can't believe the big girls slept through it. Baby was running up & down the hall yelling and waiting for some one to turn on the light.

Sat. was a accident free day & only one accident yesterday.

Baking

The big girls have been wanting to bake. Today would have been a Zoo day, however, the weather hasn't been the best lately. So instead we made cookies for DADDY!!

Lets just hope daddy makes it home to enjoy them - they are very good warm.

Big Girl

Our eldest is 5 almost 6 and still has a problem with bed wetting. A few weeks ago she decided she was big enough to not wear "goodnights" any more (diapers). So she gave her baby sister her box of diapers & has done pretty well. We are still changing sheets about twice a week but she's trying so hard. Last night just after hubby & I turned out the lights for the night we heard the little foot steps come running down the hall. Our door opens & a sad little Z was at our bedside. Explaining how she tried to get up but wet her bed (a little). So daddy advised her to go into our bathroom & finish her pee, then to take her pj bottoms off & when she returns to her room to put new ones on & to put a towel down on her sheets. She went into the bathroom had a pee & came out then the laughter starts:

Daddy: did you have a pee
big Girl: yes daddy
Daddy: what did you do with your pants
Big Girl: Daddy what did you want me to do with my pants?

hubby & I started to laugh... are we brewing an attorney. She didn't say on the floor, hamper or nothing.. but with more attitude than any 5 year old should have she responded with a questions. After we were able to breath again from so much laughing. We reminded her what she needed to do: get a towel, put on new pjs & go back to bed.

Oh the fun of little girls...

Baby #3

Oh I almost forgot the biggest event of the holidays around our house. The baby's front rail came off her crib today (not even a half rail). And I am happy to tell you she's been in bed since 7pm & hasn't escaped yet nor fallen out. I know the night is still very young. There are many pillows on the floor beside her crib. And she's was in big girl panties for the majority of the afternoon. Yes she wet herself but it was hours!!! before she turned up wet. We are on our way to having 3 big girls. Mama's very sad/yet happy!

Big Girls

We have a few big girls living in our house. The 5 year old is able to ride her bike without training wheels all over the place. She's so excited & proud of herself! The 3 year old is now working on riding a big girl bike with training wheels & wow. The baby (soon to be 1) is sitting on a four wheel toy trying to move around with her feet (fred flinstone style). Big progress.

Other changes in our house - READING. Our big girl is well on her way to reading. With all the work we've been doing on "sight words" our 3 year old is also starting to read.

The baby Oct. 28th took her first steps. Of course it wasn't at home however mommy was with her. She took her first steps @ the "cheer club". Since then she's still only taking a few steps but I'm okay with that.

Our school girl went on her first field trip & loved it. Off to the pumpkin patch.

Our computer has a VIRUS, thank goodness for grandma's computer.

The weather is AMAZING. 70+ degrees on Grandma's 60th birthday! WOW never in Ontario

It's been very busy around our house. Daddy is working lots of over time!

TODAY is a ELECTION day! The eldest was very inquisitive of when she'll get to vote, since there was a voting station at her school. Hopefully by the time she is old enough to exercise her right she'll be able to vote in the country she lives in.

Big Girl

Last night after dinner was done.. Hubby took the two younger girls into the living room to play them a little music. The middle girl, who didn't eat any dinner, sat on the couch, intently watching her daddy & fell asleep. The baby sat infront of daddy in her BUMBO & listened & sucked her thumb (up past bedtime). I had to return to the computer & work. This left the big girl, not yet 5, she decided to clean the table after dinner. Usually this means taking all the plates & loading the dishwasher. But last night she decided to do it ALL. Cleaned the table, loaded the dishwasher, wiped table & counter top. It looked like "hubby" had done it. And any of you that know my hubby he's a NEAT freak. I can't believe how grown up she is getting!!
