Hubby is at it again

Anyone who reads my blog knows, I recently went back to work & hubby has way to much energy. This weekend was no different. Ladies are you sitting down.
Sat. hubby did the floors (swept/mopped) then reorganized the furniture in the sunroom, groceries & had fun with the girls. SUNDAY the day of change.
Hubby some how remodelled my bedroom, new paint, new bed spread & a fire place. He also feed the girls 3 meals, snack & they did their valentine cards for school & friends. WOW.. I have no CLUE where he gets his energy. NO grass grows under his feet. Happy Valentines Day to me!!

Sleep deprivation

Sleep deprivation is just what I need on my last two weeks as a stay @ home mommy. Hubby is a work horse & NEVER stops. Friday we worked in the Bsmt getting it ready for visitors & grandma's stay. We (he) pulled out a lot of drywall & carpet (2a.m). Then Sat we were up late with friends sitting poolside (2a.m). Sunday I was asleep by 9pm. But he decided there was no rest allowed so Monday night, we were busy in the bsmt again & it was midnight when we were ready to head to bed but then he found more moldy drywall so it was then 130 by the time we got that off & cleaned up. Tired momma here! But it will be all worth it when the bsmt is nice & clean & stink free!

Renovations Begin

With me returning to work we will be having my mom come & visit to help out with the girls. With "Grandma" coming we feel its' important to give her her own space! This means we are cutting the play room in half to give her a spot of her own or any other guest that may come to visit! Hubby was busy shopping last night after the ladies went to bed. We Love Home Depot & Lowes & their Opps paint $5.00 a gallon & it's great! So he found 4 cans of very similar color (will mix them all to get one color). But you can't go wrong with $5.00 paint! He found an inexpensive flooring so we are going to pull all the carpet in the one side of the bsmt yahoo.. stinky smell begone (prev. owners had a dog). Very excited to see what the bsmt will look like once it's finished. Hope Grandma enjoys her little retreat!

New Room part 2

The girls moved into their new big girl room on Friday night & boy were they excited. Hubby wanted to get a few last minute things put up in their room so they were again locked out. Here they are trying to get a sneak peak at what's inside.

So when it was finally ready, the shelves up & the bookcase in hubby got out of the room & found the very hyper little ladies to show them their NEW ROOM!!

They were very excited!!! They have matching beds, shelves, chairs. They love IT!!!They even had new PJ's for the big night! Hubby was also very happy that he was able to give his girls a room they LOVED.. these are his first two little princesses!

Sleeping has gone well for the first few nights.. now lets just hope that nap time goes well. For some reason naps don't always happen on the weekend.. So today will be the first attempt at this!

New Room part 1

Well today is the day.. our eldest daughter was sure to tell us that the last thing before going to bed last night ..."only one more sleep then we get our new room" & she literally thought it was one more sleep because 715 this a.m she was in our room asking if the door to her "NEW" room could be opened.. The girls are just itching to see what daddy has done behind that door.

Last night when kissing daddy good night she reminded him he had to get everything finished because it's only one more sleep.

Today she's been begging to get this door opened.. luckily for me the girls are good listener because the door isn't locked or anything there really isn't anything stopping them from going in there. She's been laying on the floor in the hall way trying to get a sneak peak under the door but all she can she is the floor..

Today it was a little cool out (YAHOO) so she needed a sweater from her closet. I had to send her to the office sneak in then toss the sweater over her head so that I could get back out without her seeing anything.

With Hubby's crazy work schedule, I don't think the room is going to be to the exact point he wanted it before moving his two little princess' in but we can't wait any more "sleeps".

Little things like adding their initials to the wall will just have to come later.

Stay tuned for pictures when the door finally opens to reveal this "princess" room for the two little ladies. Then.. the NURSERY work begins.. lets hope it goes well & she stays where she is, we are down to 8 weeks or less & hubby starts travellingfor worknext week. So I don't know how much is going to get done before she arrives.. Lets hope all of it. Hubby has a plan for this room & isn't saying much All I know is the colours are BROWN & PINK.. I can't wait!

Girls Room

With Baby #3 only 11 weeks or less away we thought it was important to get our house ready for the new arrival. Even though we have 4 bedrooms upstairs we thought it would be nice for the two older girls to share a room, let the remodelling begin. The room we picked had not been painted or anything since we moved so there was green textured wallpaper and a cream colored carpet.

The renovation starts with a really smelly primer being put on by hubby who had to do it all by himself & thought he was going to be sick when it was all done. We decided against trying to take all the wall paper down & just went to work right over top. So last night the main color of the room went on. Today hubby is hoping to do paint all the trim & doors & add some art work to the walls. The next weekend will be flooring & assembling of the beds. So hopefully by the end of Sept we will be started on the nursery!
