FRIDAY

Today was a quiet sorta day around our house. Started off by the eldest girl making mine & her beds & cleaning her room without having to be told (yahoo) the youngest slept in & woke up in a GREAT mood! The girls were extra excited for breakfast because we had run out of milk last night & being a single vehicle family, milk run won't occur until later today, they got to have a bit of juice with breakfast (yes I'm the meanest mother on earth Juice is not generally allowed for the girls except for special breakfast). After breakfast they played very nicely together so that I could shower (always a bonus not to have to try & break up a fight while having a shower). We then went & got a craft organized so that when our playgroup came over we'd be all ready.

Friends arrived & everyone hit the ground running & dumping toy bins. Before lunch 30 minutes of play it looked like a canon had gone off in my play room.. We had lunch & back to the play room. 2 hours later the kids weren't eager to clean up or do a craft for that matter but as soon as it was actually CLEAN UP time the crying started about wanting to do a craft with our friends Sorry too late..Lots of referring fights over toys, some toys landed in time out. Very hard to determine who had it first. We are talking about a playgroup of little people from 2-5 years old. So you can imagine how things can go sometimes. Thankfully the Playroom was very tidy before anyone left withonly a little help required from the mommies & then it was quiet time but of course the thunder storm that had been waiting all day to arrive had to hit just as they went for their naps.. The youngest decided she was afraid of the thunder so came & hung out with mommy while I tried to get my phone calls in & rest a little myself. The other darling daughter decided to lay in her bed fell asleep & woke up terribly upset! At this is all before Dinner time.
