Today was our last every 4 week check up for this baby. We will now start going every 2 weeks. With the big sister in tow off we went to the Dr's. The girls were so excited to see our Dr' the eldest girl did up some art work for her before we left. They also were so good they got to bring their dolly into the office with them (this is a huge deal because our "babies" usually stay in the vehicle). We get to the Dr's never a wait so off to pee in a cup we go.. The peanut gallery is always full when this is occurring. 2 million questions about why pregnant women have to pee in a cup. Then off to step on the scale we go! NEVER a fun / enjoyable moment total weight gain is still good lets just hope we can keep it that way for the next 10 weeks. So at 29 weeks weight gain is 19 lbs. The doctor wants it to stay below 35 lbs. I think (I hope) I can do that. Into the exam room we go. The girls sit & play nicely with the basket of toys provided in the room. My Doctor peeks her head in & ask if a "medical student" can also come in.. sure why not. This was very exciting for the girls.. A male Medical Student.. well the volume went up & the giggling started.. Boy my girls usually are soo quiet when we are at the dr's the power a "boy" can have on pre-schoolers.. I'm now worried having 3 girls..LOL...
Up on the exam table we go the girls love this part because they get to hear the baby's heart rate.. 130-140 beats / minute. The belly measure is next 32 .. so we are measuring a little bigger than we are. Doctor decides to repeat our ultrasound a little earlier than first planned especially since baby is measuring bigger. We have to have baby's brain check for some cysts that were seen on an earlier ultrasound & this can't be done if she gets too big.
All in all it was a good dr's appt except for the girls "flirting" with the medical student.
Now we just have to wait & see what the baby's ultrasound will tell us this weekend.
