Oh Deer

Today is my day off. When I was in getting the baby up, as I pulled up her blind up I watched a DEER jump from our bsmt walk out into the bush. WOW. It's amazing to be able to see the wild life in our yard. The deer stayed in the yard long enough that the girls got to look out & see the deer. Grandma needs to be careful when sitting outside, the deer might join her..

Amazing part 2

It's a BEAUTIFUL crisp sunny day & while eating our warm oatmeal, sitting at the table the girls & I had the joy of seeing Mama Deer cross the road. This morning there were no baby deer following her, but she crossed right in our yard. The girls were amazed! But then the questions started

• where are her babies
• what if they are lost on the busy street
• how will they find their mommy
• maybe she's just going to get them food

Wild life is such a BEAUTIFUL / WONDERFUL thing

Amazing

This evening while preparing supper I had the chance to see something simply amazing. I would not consider where our home is located to be in the country by any means! We are a 20 minute drive to the to a major city's downtown & 5 minute drive from most shopping! So you can imagine how in ahhhh I was when looking out my front window I saw 3 deer come out from the neighbours yard, walk down the side of the lawn cross the street @ the corner then proceed out of our neighbourhood. I was very sad my camera was up at the computer & the kids were down in the bsmt playing. I didn't bother asking the kids to come up because it all happened so fast.

But what a BEAUTIFUL sight!
